Pumas grabbed a key victory after defeating Xolos of Tijuana by a 1-0 score. After a crisis streak of four consecutive losses, Pumas got their second straight win at home after defeating Puebla by the same score on Tuesday. Pumas will have their biggest match of the season next Sunday when they faced their biggest rival in Club America away while Tijuana returns home to face Mazatlan, in a match they will be heavily favored.
The 1st half started with Pumas being weakened as they were missing both Jorge Ruvalcaba and Cesar Huerta thru injury. A cross into the area was headed by Guillermo Martinez straight into the hands of Tijuana’s goalkeeper, Jesus Corona.
