Chivas lost out on their scoreless streak at home when a late goal gave Monterrey the 1-1 tie in Guadalajara. Chivas was the better team but a mistake allowed visiting Monterrey to get a point in Estadio Akron. Chivas will stay home as they face their city rival Atlas in another edition of the Clasico Tapatio next Saturday while Monterrey has another away match as they travel west to face Atletico San Luis that same night.
The 1st half started with both teams coming out with possibly their strongest starting 11 available. A cross into the area found Armando Gonzalez but his header went wide.
