Barcelona president Joan Laporta plans to speak to Xavi about his future at the club after the team’s final game of the season on Sunday against Sevilla.
The two men are said to have spoken briefly after Barca’s 3-0 win over Rayo, but any serious talks about Xavi’s future will have to wait for another week.
Catalunya Radio are reporting that Laporta wants to wait because he does not want anything to affect Barca Femeni’s preparation for the Champions League final.
The team play Lyon on Saturday night and can secure a first ever quadruple if they beat the French side and lift the title.
