The Dutch Football Association has expressed its disappointment that the match against the World Cup winner could not go ahead, but praised the efficiency of the police.
The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) has noted its alarm that Tuesday's friendly against Germany in Hannover was cancelled due to security fears.
Police confirmed that the encounter would not take place less than two hours before the scheduled kickoff at the HDI-Arena due to "serious plans to bring about an explosion".
"The KNVB is alarmed by the situation in Hannover and regrets that a good game could not take place," read a statement on the association's official website.
