When Liverpool tempted Jurgen Klopp to be their manager last October, they acquired their new frontman after predecessor Brendan Rodgers lost his way. The German was a charismatic figure meant to give identity to a club still trying to get over the loss of icons Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez.
At Borussia Dortmund, Klopp was the star, the key element in the blaze of yellow and black with which the club became German champions in 2011 and 2012, and narrowly lost the 2013 Champions League final to Bayern Munich.
The fortunes of many of his former charges suggest Klopp's omnipotence.
