BALTIMORE — If one thing has become clear over the first four games of the Gold Cup, it’s that Clint Dempsey is in a rich vein of goal-scoring form.
“He’s hungry for goals,” U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann said after his team defeated Cuba 6-0, pushing the U.S. into the semifinal. “So he has two more meals.”
After scoring three in the USA’s three group-stage games, Dempsey equaled the feat in one game against the overmatched Cubans, notching his first U.
