One of Arturo Vidal’s nicknames is ‘King Arthur’ – and like many monarchs the Bayern Munich midfielder’s face has been put on his national currency.
The Chile international has seen his iconic status grow since moving to the Bundesliga. Only a couple of weeks ago a superfan had his image shaved into the back of his head, complete with national-team colors.
This time his supporters have gone a step further, doctoring a 1,000 peso note to place Vidal – Mohawk and all – over the image of 19th century Chilean war hero Ignacio Carrera Pinto.
