Chelsea finally completed the signing of Brazilian youngster Kenedy from Fluminense on Saturday, as announced on the club's website.
The 19-year-old looked all but certain to move to Stamford Bridge when his contract was bought out by an investment firm in June, as reported by MailOnline's Simon Jones.
Kenedy spoke about the transfer, via the team's release:
I am very happy to complete my transfer to Chelsea.
It is an exciting time for me to join the English Premier League champions and I hope I can become an important player for the club.
