Kansas City NWSL has announced a trade with the Orlando Pride. Kansas City receives Kristen Edmonds and Orlando’s second-round pick in 2022 in exchange Orlando receives midfielder Gunnhildur Jónsdóttir and the rights to midfielder Erika Tymrak.
Edmonds, will be entering her eight season in the NWSL after two seasons with Western New York and five with Orlando. In her first season with Orlando, Edmonds was the leading scorer for the expansion side with six goals.
The 33-year-old is a versatile player, capable of playing on all three lines, giving KC NWSL head coach Huw Williams more flexibility in the attacking style he wants to play.
