Juventus ‘won’t sell Rugani to anyone’

The young stopper’s representative is certain the Serie A champion has confidence in his client after turning down an approach from Napoli.

Juventus has no plans to sell Daniele Rugani, despite strong interest from Napoli, according to the player’s agent.

The Serie A champion was involved in negotiations to sign Marek Hamsik prior to the transfer window’s closure but pulled out of the deal when the team was asked to include the 21-year-old defender and teammate Stefano Sturaro in the offer.

Napoli head coach Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of Rugani, having worked with him while he was on loan at Empoli over the past two seasons, but agent Davide Torchia insisted Juve is unwilling to sell the prospect, who is knocking on the door of a regular first-team spot.
