Juventus continue to be linked with a move for Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo, with the latest update claiming a loan deal is no longer being sought.
Initial reports had suggested that Juve wanted the defender on loan for the rest of the season which always looked to be a non-starter.
Fabrizio Romano is now reporting that Juve are ready for talks with Barcelona and want to “explore a permanent deal/loan with obligation, not straight loan/with option.”
There’s a similar update from Relevo on the situation. Their report says Juve don’t want to waste time “as they urgently need to buy a central defender.
