Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has confirmed that Luis Suarez is no longer a transfer target and was never really close to joining the Turin giants.
The Uruguay international flew to Italy last week to take a citizenship test that would allow him to play in Serie A amid rumors of a move to Juve.
However, Paratici says the 33-year-old will not be arriving at the club and explained why he’s been a discarded as an option to replace Gonzalo Higuain.
“Suarez can be removed from that list, because the time it takes to get the passport is longer than the transfer deadline or the moment we can hand in the Champions League lists.
