Tottenham defender Juan Foyth has revealed the chance to work with his compatriot Mauricio Pochettino swayed his decision to join the north London club over Paris Saint-Germain.
The 21-year-old Argentine joined Spurs in August 2017 from Estudiantes for a reported £8m, with the centre-back making 17 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring once.
Spurs however weren't the only club chasing him, with Ligue 1 side PSG also interested in the sought-after defender, however the opportunity to learn from a former centre-back in Pochettino was too good to turn down, according to Foyth.
Speaking to ESPN, he said: "More than anything I decided on Tottenham because there was an Argentinian manager and support team — or they can [at least] speak Spanish — and because it was a club that supported young players a lot.
