Jose Mourinho is reportedly set for a return to Real Madrid, with the club looking to appoint him on an interim basis following the expected sacking of Santiago Solari.
Solari succeeded Julen Lopetegui after he was sacked in October, but Tuesday night's shock 4-1 loss to Ajax at the Santiago Bernabeu in their Champions League last 16 second leg has pushed him closer to the exit door.
And, according to Goal, it is their former boss Mourinho who Madrid are set to turn to following Solari's ousting. It is understood that the Portuguese tactician, himself fresh from being dismissed by Manchester United in December, will likely take over on an interim basis until the end of the season.
