Jose Mourinho will face no punishment in relation to alleged discriminatory remarks made by the Chelsea manager to the club's former head doctor Eva Carneiro, the Football Association has announced.
There were suggestions that Mourinho used abusive language toward his ex-staff member during a fixture against Swansea City on September 8, but the Press Association reported on Wednesday the Blues boss has been cleared (via Daily Mail).
Sports lawyer Jake Cohen adds the FA consulted a Portuguese linguistics expert in order to reach its verdict, coming to the conclusion that no abusive language had been used by Mourinho during the incident:
