Johnson found not guilty of one count of sexual activity with child

The England international has previously pleaded guilty to grooming a child and one count of sexual activity with a child while a decision has yet to be made on a fourth charge.

Adam Johnson has been found not guilty of one count of sexual activity with a child, with the jury yet to reach a verdict on another count.

The former Sunderland player has been on trial at Bradford crown court after being originally arrested on March 2, 2015 following allegations of a relationship with a 15-year-old Sunderland supporter.

After two weeks of evidence and around a day of deliberations, the jury decided that the England international was not guilty of the charge relating to the child performing a sex act on him.
