John Ogu was on target for Hapoel Beer Sheva in their 2-2 draw with Dinamo Zagreb in Tuesday’s Uefa Champions League second qualifying round, but the Israeli side crashed out 7-2 on aggregate.
Having lost 5-0 in Croatia last week, Beer Sheva had a herculean task in their hand at the Turner Stadium. But Ogu gave his side hope after finding the back of the net 14th minute into the encounter.
Petar Stojanovic’s own goal 20 minutes later saw the deficit reduced to three goals. But second-half goals from Mario Budimir and Izet Hajrovic ended the hopes of the Israeli champions.
