Joelinton: The Signing That Sums Up Newcastle United's Chaotic Transfer Strategy

This summer has not gone to plan for Newcastle. Whether there was a plan at all in the first place is anyone's guess, but this surely cannot have been it.

Let's have a quick recap. Popular manager Rafael Benitez left and was replaced by the unpopular Steve Bruce. Not a great start.

Then you have players leaving. Ayoze Perez went to Leicester and Salomon Rondon is set to join Benitez in China. Newcastle's two top scorers from last season were unwilling to stick around. Joselu has also left for Spanish club Alaves, although that is less of an issue as he was - to put it kindly - not very good.
