La Liga president Javier Tebas has confirmed that Barcelona will be able to sign a replacement for injured goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The Germany international is set to undergo surgery on his injured knee and may not return again this season for Barcelona.
Tebas has been asked about the situation and said the Catalans can add to their squad should they wish.
“The regulations allow the signing of a player with the same amount of the long-term injured player. They can sign a player, whether it is a goalkeeper or not,” he told reporters.
