Jardim delight at Monaco's Ligue 1 title win against the odds

Monaco's eighth Ligue 1 title was all the more special as it was against the odds, according to the club's coach

Leonardo Jardim believes Monaco's first Ligue 1 title since 2000 was even more special as they were not favourites to claim the crown.

Paris Saint-Germain had won four successive Ligue 1 trophies but the French champions were deposed by Jardim's men after a 2-0 victory over Saint-Etienne at Stade Louis II on Wednesday.

Kylian Mbappe's 15th Ligue 1 goal of the season put Monaco on track after 19 minutes and Valere Germain wrapped up the silverware by tapping in with the last kick of the game.
