Barcelona president Joan Laporta was reportedly left reeling by the decision to disallow Robert Lewandowski’s goal against Real Sociedad on Sunday night.
Laporta was at the Reale Arena for the match and was overheard raging after seeing the VAR images of the decision, according to Relevo.
“It can’t be” was heard at the ground from the Barca delegation during the match as controversy reigned in the Basque Country.
Barcelona are now set to seek explanations from La Liga over what happened and to ensure further VAR controversies do not occur in the future.
The Catalans are convinced that Lewandowski was not offside and the goal should have stood, but VAR chief Clos Gomez has claimed all is in order.
