Inter Milan’s pursuit of Ivan Rakitiu0107 is heating up, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian source reports that Inter is “optimistic” about landing him next summer, with the foundations of an agreement with Barcelona already laid.
Inter’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio have met with the Catalan club in secrecy, according to the report. Barcelona reportedly ask for 45 million euro, wth Inter offering 35 million. That would put 40 million as a reasonable compromise. The Croatian is under contract until 2021 and reportedly earns 5.5 million euro net per year.
