Slowly but surely the games are being ticked off, and with Girona eventually sent packing at the Estadio Lluis Companys, Barca again find themselves at the top of the league with nine games left to play.
The destination of the title remains in their hands, and although the second Clasico of the season is some six weeks away it’s already looking like a title decider.
There will be the likes of Betis, Leganes and Celta Vigo who might take issue with that, but if Robert Lewandowski can continue his sensational goalscoring form, any and all future opponents are going to find it difficult to derail the Barca juggernaut.
