FC Barcelona have a goalkeeper controversy brewing.
With Marc-André ter Stegen down due to a long-term injury, Iñaki Peña was given the job of #1 keeper. The signing of Wojciech Szczu0119sny could’ve relegated the Alicante-born keeper to the bench, but it was not the case. Not at first, anyway.
Peña continued to start while Szczu0119sny, who had actually retired in the offseason, got back up to speed.
The Polish keeper was given a run out in the Copa del Rey, and then trusted in the Spanish Supercup. He earned two clean sheets in his first two matches, but it was against Real Madrid that things got a little messy.
