After signing Didier Drogba, the Impact made another big splash with the capture of the versatile attacking midfielder.
The Montreal Impact have completed the transfer of Costa Rican international midfielder and forward Johan Venegas from Alajuelense, the club announced on Monday. The Impact used targeted allocation money to acquire the player. As per MLS policy, details of the contract were not disclosed.
“We are very happy to have completed the transfer and signing of Johan Venegas,” said Impact technical director Adam Braz. “He is a quality player with international experience who can play in multiple positions. He will be a very good addition to the team.
