The Montreal Impact will be sorely disappointed with their elimination from the MLS playoffs by the Columbus Crew, losing 3-1 in extra time and 4-3 on aggregate Sunday, but there’s still plenty to be proud of after the remarkable season that they've had.
The Impact did well to neutralize Kei Kamara, the Crew’s main goal scoring threat, in the opening game of the Eastern Conference semis last Sunday, but Kamara simply proved too much for Montreal to handle in the end, powering past defender Laurent Ciman for the opening goal and then leaping past Donny Toia for the decisive third in stoppage time.
