Ilkay Gundogan has sent out a congratulatory message to his Barcelona team-mates after seeing the Catalans beat Valencia 2-1 in their season opener.
The Germany international missed the game at Mestalla apparently for precautionary reasons after suffering a head knock against Monaco in the Gamper Trophy.
Yet there’s also been some spurious rumors ahead of the game that’s he asked to leave - a situation that seems unlikely since he shot down exit rumors only last week.
Gundogan has now reacted to Barca’s win on social media: He posted: “Crucial victory in our season opener - good job!
