Barcelona coach Hansi Flick saw his team cut the gap to league leaders Real Madrid on Sunday by beating Alaves 1-0 at Montjuic.
However, the German admitted afterwards that he didn’t even know Madrid lost to Espanyol on Saturday because he decided to have an early night instead.
“I was sleeping, you can ask my wife. The last few days have been stressful and on Saturday I didn’t watch the game between Espanyol and Real Madrid,” he told reporters.
“Sometimes it’s better to go to bed early. After the game against Atalanta I only slept two or three hours.
