Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino has spoken about how he was emotionally affected by Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s injury during Sunday’s clash with Barcelona.
Ter Stegen went down in the penalty area and it was immediately apparent he had suffered a serious injury. The German was swiftly stretchered off and taken to hospital by ambulance.
Pino has been asked about the incident and revealed exactly what happened on the pitch at La Ceramica.
“I was involved in the play, I didn’t want to hurt him intentionally, it was a combination of things and I couldn’t control my feelings and I burst into tears.
