Spain boss Luis de la Fuente says he thought Toni Kroos should have been sent off for his challenge on Pedri in their Euro 2024 clash.
Pedri had to go off in the opening minutes of the quarter-final tie after being on the receiving end of a hefty tackle by the Real Madrid man.
Kroos was not even booked for the tackle but De la Fuente felt he could have been handed his marching orders.
“Pedri was in pain. I think it was a red card. Whether he’s on the pitch or off, he’s going to keep contributing,” he told reporters.
