Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde says he was subjected to racial abuse during Saturday’s clash with Getafe.
The left-back spoke out after the match and says he told the match referee during the 1-1 draw at the Estadio Coliseum.
“I have received racist insults. It was in the first half and when it finished I mentioned it to the referee, who activated the protocol,” he told Movistar.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick was asked about it after the game and expressed his disgust at the situation.
“It’s incredible, there is no room for this in football or in life.
