‘I have to be patient’ - Frenkie de Jong sounds warning after Barcelona win

Frenkie de Jong had a good night for Barcelona on Tuesday after coming on as a second-half substitute against Real Mallorca.

The midfielder came on in an attacking role and grabbed a goal and an assist in a 5-1 victory for Hansi Flick’s side.

It’s been a tough season so far for De Jong, with the Dutchman still feeling the effects of an ankle injury, and he knows he must be patient at the moment.

“It feels good to score and to be able to help the team,” he said.

“I have to be patient with everything.
