Barcelona boss Hansi Flick was left baffled after being sent off during the team’s 2-2 draw with Real Betis on Saturday.
The German coach was shown a straight red card minutes after Betis had been awarded a penalty for a challenge by Frenkie de Jong on Vitor Roque.
It appeared that Flick had been sanctioned for dissent, but the German coach denied that was the case after the match.
“I don’t understand it. It was a reaction on my part. I didn’t say anything specific to anyone,” he told reporters.
