Hull City 1-3 Arsenal: Sanchez at the double as Gunners close on second

Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey inspired Arsenal's ninth win in its last 10 Premier League games at the expense of Hull City.

Alexis Sanchez scored twice as Arsenal stayed on course for a second-place finish by beating lowly Hull City 3-1 at the KC Stadium.

Arsenal's saw hopes of winning the title ended when Chelsea was crowned champion on Sunday, but moved a step closer to finishing runner-up by stretching its unbeaten run to 10 Premier League outings on Monday. The Gunners moved level with Manchester City, which they hold a game in hand over.

Chile international Sanchez took his tally to 24 goals in his first season at the club with a first-half brace either side of Aaron Ramsey's 10th of the campaign.
