How Neymar-less Brazil will face World Cup qualification

The five-time World Champions kick off their journey to Russia 2018 in Santiago against Chile and will welcome captain Neymar back for November's trip to Argentina.

Brazil will kick off its qualification campaign for World Cup 2018 against Copa America champion Chile in Santiago on Oct. 8, and will do so without captain Neymar.

The 23-year-old will sit out of both of Brazil's October openers after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected an appeal from the Brazil football federation (CBF) to have his four-match suspension restricted to Copa America matches only.
