Hoilett joins Canada's men's national team

The 25-year-old is eligible for both Canada and Jamaica.

Junior Hoilett will finally represent the country of his birth.

The Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) announced Wednesday that Hoilett has joined the men's national team program. The 25-year-old had been pursued by the CSA for years, but he has never played international soccer at any level despite a club career that includes several years in the Premier League.

Hoilett is also eligible to play for Jamaica, due to parental links to that nation.
