Barcelona confirmed on Monday that Japanese starlet Hiroki Abe has joined the club on a four-year deal.
The 20-year-old has passed a medical and signed a contract with the Spanish champions and will now join up with Barcelona B.
The Japan international has an initial release clause of €40 million while he is with Barca B, but it will rise to €100m if he links up with the first team.
Barcelona have paid Kashimi Antlers €1.1m for the 20-year-old who was voted the the J-League’s Best Young Player last season and played for Japan at the 2019 Copa America.
