Jules Kounde has been in impressive form for France at Euro 2024 and has come in for some deserved praise ahead of the team’s quarter-final tie with Portugal.
Guy Stephan, assistant coach to Didier Deschamps, took over press conference duties on Wednesday and spoke about the Barcelona defender.
The 25-year-old is playing at right-back for France at the European Championship, and Stephan says he hasn’t put a foot wrong yet.
“Koundé is great. Defensively, we saw it in his management of Doku,” he told reporters. “And offensively, he brings something extra. He is having a perfect Euro so far.
