Herrera tinkers, but doesn't experiment, ahead of Group C showdown

Mexico's manager defended his tactical and personnel changes ahead of the group-deciding match against Trinidad and Tobago, saying he knows what his players do best.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ahead of Mexico's showdown with Trinidad and Tobago, Miguel Herrera was asked plenty of questions about his lineup.

The Mexico coach commented on players and positions. He talked the switch in formations made before the Gold Cup because of Hector Moreno's foot injury. He defended his team’s play in the surprise scoreless draw with Guatemala on Sunday. He emphasized areas El Tri must do better in if they want to defeat the Soca Warriors and win Group C.
