Heroic Sunderland winger saves three pensioners

The 23-year-old Black Cats midfielder was involved in a boat crash, and showed his heroism by saving three passengers from drowning

Sunderland winger Duncan Watmore was hailed as a hero after saving the lives of three pensioners in Barbados.

The 23-year-old was in the Caribbean as part of his recovery from injury, where the speedboat he was on collided with a catamaran. The boat collided with Watmore's, splitting it in two and putting the lives of its passengers in danger.

Along with the speedboat's captain, Watmore came to the rescue of three pensioners, pulling them to safety while the boat was sinking into the water.
