The Mexican striker got his first goal for the club as it stormed past BATE in the Champions League.
Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez got off the mark for his new club in Wednesday's Champions League action, netting Bayer Leverkusen's third goal as the club cruised to a 4-1 win over BATE and opened its group-stage campaign in style.
The Germany side opened the scoring just four minutes in after a poked cross from Hernandez wasn't dealt with, teeing up Admir Mehmedi to finish from inside the BATE area and get Leverkusen out to a quick start.
