‘He’ll play a great tournament’ - Pedri expecting big things from Barcelona teammate Lamine Yamal in Euro 2024

Spain enter their Euro 2024 campaign with more hope than expectation, with a squad made up of mostly young, rising stars hoping to get out of a brutal group with Italy and Croatia and perhaps repeat their run to the semi-finals in Euro 2021, and if things break their way perhaps even more.

As is always the case with La Roja much of their hopes rest on the shoulders of a Barcelona star or two, and a couple really stand out ahead of this tournament: midfielder Pedri, who appears to come into the group stage as healthy as he’s ever been and playing very well in the warm-up games, and winger Lamine Yamal, who is the new big hope of Spanish football and will hope to finish his breakout season with a run in the Euros that shows the entire continent what the teenager is about before he even turns 17 years old.
