After 230 caps, three Olympic gold medals and a Women's World Cup title, Heather O'Reilly is calling it a career with the U.S. national team.

The 31-year-old midfielder announced Thursday she will retire from international play, with her final match coming in a friendly Sept. 15 against Thailand in Columbus, Ohio. O'Reilly will continue to play for her club team, two-time defending champion FC Kansas City of the NWSL.
