Jurgen Klopp rested some players for the visit of Stoke City on Sunday. The 4-1 win kept Liverpool's form ticking along in the league, and the players who were left out will hopefully return rejuvenated for the much harder task of beating Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday.
They will need every ounce of energy they can muster to continue a gameplan that helped disrupt Dortmund's usual fluency.
Klopp's return to his old side may have dominated proceedings in the first leg 1-1 draw but for all of Dortmund's perceived struggles they still got a draw and for all of Liverpool's delight with their performance they can expect an even greater challenge on Thursday despite home advantage.
