Barcelona midfielder Gavi is closing in on a return to first-team action after injury and is expected to be included in the squad for the team’s next match against Sevilla.
However, manager Hansi Flick is starting to have a few doubts about the timing of Gavi’s comeback, according to Diario AS.
Flick is said to be refusing to “be carried away by the good feelings and the crazy desire” for Gavi to play again, particularly with some tough fixtures on the horizon.
While Gavi may well get some minutes against Sevilla, Barca don’t think he’s ready to play in the next two matches against Bayern and Real Madrid.
