Hansi Flick has made it crystal clear just how important he believes punctuality is at Barcelona, saying it’s a sign of disrespect if players are late.
Jules Kounde has already found this out to his cost. The defender was late for a team meeting and subsequently dropped against Alaves.
According to Diario AS, the Frenchman has also fallen foul of Flick’s disciplinary rules on another couple of occasions.
During pre-season he was four minutes late and received a very simple message from the boss: “You won’t be in the starting eleven today.”
Kounde was then two minutes late for a meeting ahead of Alaves and was taken out of the team and told “arriving late, even by a minute, is a lack of respect for your teammates.
