Guatemalan Judge in FIFA Corruption Case Is Released on $4 Million Bond

Héctor Trujillo, a Guatemalan judge and soccer official charged by the United States in December with accepting and laundering hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes, was held in solitary confinement at a detention center in Brooklyn for the past week until he was released Thursday on a $4 million bond.

Trujillo’s friends and relatives will be putting up cash and real estate properties as security for the bond, and Mr. Trujillo must wear an electronic monitor and remain within 50 miles of the federal courthouse in Brooklyn.

Mr. Trujillo, who was arrested on Dec. 4 when the Disney cruise ship he was on with his family docked in Port Canaveral, Fla.
