MLS teams have entered the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup this week, and although the majority of the fourth round games will be in next week’s update, three games took place Tuesday night, including the Portland Timbers visiting the Seattle Sounders. Both teams called in a number of players from their USL teams for the game, and included in that number was one time Sporting KC player, Tomas Granitto. The former Swope Park Rangers midfielder played one game for Sporting Kansas City, their 3-1 win against Central FC in last season’s CONCACAF Champions League.
