Day 7: First blood
The last team to qualify for the Gold Cup was the first to be eliminated. That wouldn't be too much of a surprise, except that team is Honduras, one of CONCACAF's representatives at both the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
After struggling at the 2014 tournament, Honduras switched managers only to have even more trouble at Copa Centroamericana with Hernan Medford in charge. The FA turned to Jorge Luis Pinto, the man who took Costa Rica to such heights at the 2014 World Cup.
