The Caribbean has been a very maligned region of CONCACAF lately. The subregion of CONCACAF holds most of the power with the majority of the confederation's nations forming an insurmountable voting bloc. The Department of Justice's investigation into FIFA has touched many from the region with reports

On the field, the Caribbean hasn't been much of a factor, with Trinidad and Tobago's last-place group finish in 2006 the last time one of the nations from the region has made the World Cup.
